A Journey in Handwriting Recognition That Began at the Nakagawa Laboratory in the Late 1980s
The roots of iLabo's handwriting recognition technology can be traced back to research conducted at the Nakagawa Laboratory at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology in the late 1980s. From the early days, when handwriting recognition was still an emerging field, we have pursued the potential of “turning handwriting into digital data.” One principle has remained unchanged since the beginning of our research: “Never compromise on recognition accuracy.” Decades of research, development, and technological innovation have shaped the handwriting recognition engines we provide today. Today, as a Japanese company specializing in handwriting recognition technology, we provide our technology across a wide range of fields, including education, business, and research. Building on more than 40 years of accumulated expertise, we will continue to pursue greater accuracy and new possibilities in handwriting recognition. Turning handwriting into data that matters. And using digital technology to support the future of our customers. With our passion for technological innovation and our commitment to professional excellence, we will continue creating new value together with our customers.
